Bio

Conrad’s love of theatre and music dates to his childhood, when he roamed the hills of rural Ohio creating stories with homemade costumes.  You would also have found him playing the piano and singing for evenings on end.  He began studying piano formally at age 10 and voice at age 15.  Conrad received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music from Cedarville University in Ohio where he won the 2006 concerto competition in voice and numerous other awards.  While at Cedarville he performed such roles as Lancelot in Camelot, Melchior in Amahl and the Night Visitors, and Top in The Tender Land.  He also involved himself in the life of the school and served as Chairman of Soli Deo Gloria – a music department student organization, as well as Team Leader for the Nehemiah University Chapel Team – a ministry team which worked at the Dayton Gospel Mission in Dayton, Ohio.  Additionally, Conrad varied his experience by working as a salesperson and student manager for The Southwestern Company, in which capacity he relocated to Rochester, NY and Syracuse, NY.  Also, Conrad acquired experience in Voice Over and Audio Production through involvement with productions and classes at the university as well as training with Columbus based voice over talent, Susan Andre.

Conrad went on to acquire a Master of Music Degree in Voice Performance from the University of North Texas, where he was a recipient of the David L. Schrader Opera Scholarship.  He also worked as a teaching fellow for the university and was extensively involved in the opera program, singing such roles as Capulet in Roméo et Juliette, Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Schaunard in La bohème.
