A lifelong passion for music and storytelling

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

Conrad Bear grew up in Sugarcreek, Ohio, in a home where creativity was joyfully encouraged—even when ten-year-old Conrad decided that 7:30 a.m. was the perfect time to practice piano directly beneath his parents' bedroom.

From an early age, he was drawn to music and storytelling, spending hours acting out elaborate stories, often while wearing one of his most prized possessions: a tri-corner hat from Williamsburg, Virginia.

That early love for imagination, music, and narrative never faded. As an adult, Conrad has built a career centered on storytelling in its many forms—on stage, on screen, behind the microphone, and in the classroom.

Academic training and professional teaching experience

Conrad earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Cedarville University and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of North Texas, where he trained under renowned pedagogue Dr. Stephen Austin and served as a Teaching Fellow.

His teaching emphasizes strong technique and cross-training across styles—from opera and musical theatre to contemporary commercial music.

His career has included running a private voice studio, serving as an award-winning music and theatre teacher at Charlotte Christian School in North Carolina, and working as a Teaching Fellow with the International Performing Arts Institute in Germany under Dr. Maryann Kyle.
